Pavillon Bleu

Le Pavillon Bleu d'Europe (European Blue Flag) is a campaign organized by the French Office of the Foundation for Environmental Education in Europe.
It rewards and recognizes the French communes and marinas which meet criteria of excellence for the overall management of their environment.
For some years now, with the implementation of waste sorting, an awareness campaign on environmental issues has been addressed to the population by means of information and documentation provided to the inhabitants as well as children, through games, contests and exhibitions.

This constant concern to protect and develop a quality environment has been awarded since 1991 with the Pavillon Bleu Européen, and since 1993, without exception, with the « Pavillon Bleu des Ports et des Plages » (Blue Flag for Ports and Beaches). Indeed, the latter meets rigorous selection criteria with regard to environmental protection and awareness.
